Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
