Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, managing just one match at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from March of 2023.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a title is really nice," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the playing surface had prompted some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an improved service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, securing four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour championship, gained dominance to force a final set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a close deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he earned victory with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
